Welcome again to Monday Music,

The song for today is “Derezzed” by Daft Punk, which they made for the movie “Tron: Legacy”. It was mostly used as the trailer for the movie, but the whole score was made by them as well. I like the work those two guys can make, it is creative and they always seem to innovate from what they previously did. “Derezzed” for example has a catchy rhythm with great speed; it is not really the same style as the last album. They really grasped what the movie was and used this knowledge to make an amazing job with the score.

“Derezzed” is one of the reasons I wanted to watch “Tron: Legacy” and the fact that Daft Punk made the entire score. I had the chance to see the movie in IMAX 3D when it came out in 2010 (IMAX is the biggest movie screen in the Province of Quebec). My brother and I both loved it. My brother is picky when it comes to watching movies and I had to push him a lot for him to come with me. I think we talked about it for one week and I bought the album immediately after. It is tense when it needs to be and the rhythms are really good.
